Granted, an auditorium’s purpose is to serve as the perfect host for a show its stage has to offer. But what if the venue itself, puts on a show? It’s what we did, when the architect firm of Planet 3 Studios led by its director Kalhan Mattoo, approached euroceil stretch ceilings to redecorate the M auditorium in Mumbai’s esteemed Vidyalankar Institute of Technology.
Fluid, flexible, organic
Our translucent stretch ceiling took fluid, organic shapes that played with lighting in delightful ways, to offer an ambience and a sight worth looking up to. The flexibility in design allows for infinite possibilities to take shape. This vast, backlit decorative ceiling looking over the audience, is one such endeavor.
Seamless installation
No gaps. No intrusions. No interruptions in design. This decorative printed stretch ceilings uses seamless installation, that brought the entire design to life at a blinding pace of just two days. All this, despite the challenge of obtaining accurate measurements required for a vast, complex measurements from the site.
Accolades and acclaim
A project of such complexities, caught the attention of the design community in no time. The M auditorium of Vidyalankar Institute of Technology was awarded as the best Institutional Theater Design, worldwide. Such accolades and acclaim, stand testimony to euroceil’s undivided commitment towards enhancing interior spaces. Needless to say, this mighty success has given euroceil the opportunity to work with Planet 3 Studios for more such projects.
Every day, we push the envelope a little further, stretch ceiling possibilities farther, and reach new heights in design innovation. Now that the auditorium puts on a show, let’s hope its stage does too.
